GIVING ATTENTION


DEFINITION
1.Giving attention is attitude to show or ask attention from other people
2.Giving Attention is way or expression that is spoken so that other people      
    will pay their attention to what we want to.

TARGET
 -Use to give or attract attention people when you tell story , you can  use questions to attract    
   your listeners attention.

-When you listen to a story you can use several expressions to show that you are paying 
  attention to what is being talked.

Purpose
To find attention, the other people, so the other pay attention with.


To pay attention to what we want to  do :
  • Excuse me
  • Look at me
  • Listen to me, please
  • Waiter/waitress
  • Excuse me, look at me
  • Hope you will be fine
  • Wow, really?
  • What is wrong with you? 
  • Look !
  • Relly? What happened?
  • Will you?
  • Will he/she? Who told you?
  • Have you?
  • And them what didn’t you do?
  • Was it ? tell me more about it?

Exampel Dialog of Giving Attention
Mika  : You look very tired! Didn’t you have a good sleep last night?
Yaya : No, I didn’t
Mika  :  what happened? Were you sick?
Yaya : No, I wasn’t. It’s just last night was so sultry that I couldn’t even close my eyes.
Mika  : I see, but you have a fan in your room, don’t you?
Yaya  :Yes, I do. But, I didn’t work.
Mika   : Poor you.
Pay attention to the sentences in bold. The boy says the sentences to show her attention toward the girl’s statement.
